The evening will begin with Alexey Shor's Four Seasons of Manhattan, a four-movement work evoking the changing seasons in New York's bustling metropolis, before continuing with Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor, Op. 64, a distinctive three-movement work which, following its influential premiere in 1845, has become a concert favorite and is now recognized as an important work in the violin's repertoire. Following the intermission, the orchestra will return to perform Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 8, a relatively lighthearted piece the composer referred to as "my little Symphony in F", though one that is no less masterful in its composition. This concert is organized by CMDI Group and SAMIT Event Group, with the support of the European Foundation for Support of Culture (EUFSC).‘A musical trip to Manhattan not to miss’A.
