Neil LaBute’s ‘The Shape of Things’, an unusual love story that focuses on human behaviour. A dark comedy that is a tale of love and friendship, and how the two often don’t mix well. It’s about small-town college students being young and naive and impressionable, and not really knowing who they are or what they really want, and how that can lead into being sucked into something they can’t actually handle, but don’t know how to stop. It’s also a story about how we sometimes weave a tangled web of truth to construct our own reality, and how our perception of others changes, based upon their outward appearance, despite our denials that we are influenced by, you know, the shape of things.

The Sanskrit word "?????? / Kaumudi" translates into literal English as “Illumination” or figuratively stands for "Enlightenment".In the context of the play, the plot of Kaumudi is about a rite of passage on a moonlit timeless night, hinged on a few central questions. Does age determine a right to life? Is personal ethic above public ethic? Do we make art or does art make us? The value of art is for the onlooker or the creator? The plot of "Kaumudi" draws answers from two parallel stories about the 'reality' on stage and the 'reality' off it continuing in the same vein to reach a climactic end, while trying to hold up a mirror to the artist in the context of his creation and society at large.Cast:Nilesh DeshpandeBenjamin SamuelManas VillasApoorva MehraLavina JaswaniAmitt KummarAshish KalkarJeett DhindsaKaran SharmaDancers:Swarashri ShridharSeema KunderShilpi DuttaTabassum InamdarSonali AswaniPrachi ShringiRitika AhmedNyasa Verma (Child artist)Shilpi VermaSarthak Mohendroo

DescriptionTheater within theater, or how to choose between fiction and reality, love that you live or love that you dream, stage or life?Frédérick Lemaître was the star actor of the Romantic era and fascinated Paris with the strength of his acting. Close to the people and democratic ideals, fighting against censorship, he refused a proposal from the Comédie-Française to stay at the Théâtre des Folies- Dramatic, boulevard du Crime. Unfortunately, the play he has to play, L'Auberge des Adrets, is a bad melodrama that promises to be a failure. Brilliantly, Frédérick will make fun of it by interpreting it as a farce. Extravagant, revolutionary, seductive, libertine, Frédérick seems ready for anything but love. However, one evening he receives a visit from Berenice, a magnificent and mysterious young woman who attends all the performances. Upset, he will have to choose between fiction and reality. Dreamed love or lived love? The stage or the “real” life?Play is in French Language
