The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is a highly-anticipated Twenty20 cricket league where six teams compete over three weeks for the championship title. The groups are made up of the top cricket players selected from international teams like England, New Zealand, the West Indies and more. The PSL is now entering its fourth year with matches for the 2019 season organised in venues across the UAE and Pakistan.
PSL shakes up the regular teams and loyalties, encouraging rivals to team up and teammates to compete against one another in fierce and friendly competition. Over 34 matches Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators, Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars battle it out on the field for the series title. The games are played in a round-robin format, in which each team plays against the others once during the tournament. Last year saw a grand victory by Islamabad United led by Pakistan's Misbah-ul-Haq.
The first coin toss setting off PSL will take place in Dubai on 14 February, with 14 matches hosted overall at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, from 14 to 17 February and 26 February to 1 March.
