    South African stand-up comedians and internet sensations Masood Boomgaard and Bash with Tash are heading to the Middle East! The Durban comedy duo, who recently completed tours of Australia and the UK, will be hitting the stage at The Junction Dubai theatre on 6 September for two shows only. 

     

    Boomgaard who is regarded one of the brightest stars in South African comedy will show off his unique and witty take on a range of topics from technology and sports to relationships, celebrities, parenting and everything else in between. 


    “Having recently ended a successful round of shows in South Africa and elsewhere we are super excited to be heading to Dubai where I am looking to forward to connecting with comedy lovers. Or course Dubai is a home away from home for many South Africans so that’s another reason why this tour is so special.”

    Audiences will get to hear about Masood’s experiences growing up in South Africa towards the end of Apartheid, discovering his Asian roots through his grandparents and travelling the world and finding his place in it as a person of mixed origin.


    The show will also explore the notion first world problems, making light of its trivial inconveniences, ranging from poor Wifi Signal to gluten, offering hilarious predictions of what we can expect from technology and human behaviour in the years to come.

    Bash with Tash, real name Natashia Portrag, shot to fame in December 2016 when she spontaneously uploaded a comic commentary by herself on Facebook which soared to hundreds of thousands of views. Subsequent videos only heightened her popularity and now she has legions of fans locally and abroad in places like Australia, Malaysia, the UK and other parts of the world

    Bash with Tash is best known for her incredible ability to improvise on stage and crowd interaction. Her spontaneity ensures that no two shows are the same.

    Tash has widely considered one of South Africa’s most exciting comedy acts due to her improvisational skills

    What is the seating plan?

    The venue is free-seated. All patrons will get a seat according to the first-cum-first basis


    When will I receive the E-ticket? 

    Your email confirmation will come within minutes of your successful transaction and carry the E-ticket as an attachment. 

    The E-ticket with the QR Code should be printed and carried to the venue for entry. 

    Alternately, you can open/download the ticket and show the ticket on your phone for scanning and entry. 


    Are there provisions for buying food and beverages at the venue?

    Yes, there are concession counters inside the venue.


    What are the entry timings and show timings?

    4:30 PM and 7:30 PM on 6th. September. Gates open 20 minutes prior to the show. 


    Is there parking at the venue?

    Yes, Paid parking is available outside the Avenue 


    What are the age restrictions that apply?

    Every attendee needs to have a valid ticket and there are no child tickets. 

    The minimum age for entry to the venue is 13.

    • Tickets once sold will not be taken back, exchanged or refunded. No requests for change of seats will also be entertained. Minimum age for entry is 13 years.
    • Entry to the event is subject to validation of the ticket at the gate.  
    • Please carry a printout of your ticket bearing the QR Code/barcode or download the same on your mobile device. If produced on your mobile device, it is the buyer’s responsibility that the QR Code / Barcode is clearly visible on your device – we advise download in advance to avoid issues due to network connectivity. 
    • Please carry an identity proof to the venue (UAE driving license / Emirates ID / Passport) 
    • No outside food and beverages may be carried inside the venue.  
    • Please refrain from carrying any prohibited substances, including but not restricted to drugs, firearms, glass bottles, professional cameras, and video cameras, ammunition, weapons, whistles, air horns or other such devices or explosive material to the venue. If banned substances are found on a person, the venue reserves the right to evict the bearer from the event without any compensation and also initiate proceedings as required by law.
    • Backpacks and I-Pads, tablets, laptops, professional cameras, recording devices, selfie sticks are not permitted at the venue.
    • Strollers, prams and baby capsules are not allowed at the venue.  
    • Please carry valid identity/age proof at the venue. For overseas travelers, please keep the passport and visa handy.
    • Purchasers will be responsible for making their own arrangements for travel till the venue and stay if applicable
    • BookMyShow will not be responsible for any change programme schedule due to unforeseen circumstances. 
    • Alcohol, will not be served to individuals below 21 years of age, irrespective of the category of ticket booked. The bartender may request age proof before serving alcohol. Underage attendees may please be advised accordingly. 
    • Pets are not allowed at the venue.
