Done Events have announced that leading Irish band Snow Patrol will be headliner #1 at the 2019 and 17th edition of the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival Presented By Mastercard!

Performing on the 20th February at the Media City Amphitheatre, the Irish band will return to the UAE for the first time in seven years.

The band have over 15 million global album sales, 1billion+ global track stream, 5 UK Platinum Albums & have been nominated for both Grammy & Mercury Prize awards.

‘What a great first act!’, said Girish Bhat, Managing Director of Done Events, the new owners of the festival. ‘We can’t wait to welcome the guys back to Dubai for their huge following not just in the UAE but also the wider GCC’.

The Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival is set to return for its 17th edition. The festival will take place over three days, with performances by local and international jazz and blues artists at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. Adding to the lineage of performers like Duran Duran, John Legend and Ricky Martin, this year’s headliners include alt-rock icons Snow Patrol, R&B queen Alicia Keys, and British jazz-funk band Jamiroquai.

Once the quintessential tale of struggling artists, Snow Patrol grew to global prominence after the turn of the century with their greatest ethereal radio-hit ‘Chasing Cars’ and over 15 million album sales worldwide. Continuing the festivities on 21 February, Jamiroquai, fronted by Jay Kay, will headline the second night of the festival. Entertaining crowds since the 90s, the group has had three UK #1 albums, over seven in the UK Top 10 charts, and have sold over 26 million worldwide albums.

Finally, the multi-talented singer, songwriter, dancer, author and entrepreneur Alicia Keys will headline the third and final day of the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival with all-time hits like 'No One' and 'Fallin'. Alicia Keys became an immediate sensation following the release of her debut album ‘Songs in A Minor’ in 2001, and continues to be a music, fashion and humanitarian icon with 15 Grammy Awards under her belt
