The Dubai Coffee Festival is a new and exciting event concept, that is uniquely centered around the consumer appetite for authentic specialty coffee and the social culture that surrounds it. The three-day festival will take place at One Central, a new iconic outdoor events space at the Dubai World Trade Centre from the 12th to 14th March 2020.

Launched by ‘DXB Live’ in partnership with the ‘Specialty Coffee Association’ (SCA), the Dubai Coffee Festival is the answer to the “fourth wave” of coffee culture, in which the Emirates have become truly immersed, with world class local brands showcasing pioneering coffee concepts. Small artisanal specialty coffee shops are now sprouting up everywhere from Ras Al Khaimah to Al Ain with specialty coffee now sought by discerning coffee drinkers in social settings.

The highlight of the festival will be the main stage where the buzz and excitement of the barista competitions and live latte art competitions will be quite an experience. All the action on the main stage will be shown on a giant screen, with the iconic future museum in the background. Visitors can sit back and enjoy the festivities with friends and family in a relaxing social environment, while playing board games in open air lounges and snacking on a range of international street food on offer.

The SCA will also be running educational and informative workshops, as well as brewing and sensory classes where baristas and coffee enthusiasts can gain SCA certification. The Coffee Cup Journey workshop will educate visitors on the entire journey of the coffee beans from the farm all the way up to the point that they reach the consumer’s cup as the drink they love and enjoy on a daily basis.  There will also be an exploration of the different roasting techniques and roast profiles involved in making the perfect cup of coffee. The inaugural edition of the Dubai Coffee Festival is an exciting event that is truly not to be missed!
